Noke Keyless Smart Entry

Lighthouse Self Storage is introducing the Noke Smart Entry in our facility for maximum storage protection. Tenants really do not want to have anything bad happening to their belongings, and with Noke Smart Entry we can guarantee additional protection. All tenants must do is download a mobile app on their smart phone device. The tenant never has to worry about loosing keys, and even if the tenant loses or upgrades their phone, the mobile app can be installed on a new device and the tenant can sign in with the same credentials. Now the tenant is in control of who has access to their unit, and can easily share the digital key with other users and view all unit activity from their mobile app. The tenant can easily add, and revoke users as needed through the app.

Lighthouse Self Storage Tips

  1. Start by determining what items you will need to pack or toss. Next figure out what boxes and moving supplies, for example packing paper, bubble wrap, mattress and furniture covers, etc. you will need.
  2. Make a list of all items you will keep for storage, make sure you keep the list in an easy to find safe place.
  3. Pack heavy items like books and tools in smaller boxes. For easy handling limit the weight of all cartons, regardless of size, to 30 lbs. or less. When stacking boxes put the heaviest boxes on bottom and light boxes near the top.
  4. Empty drawers can be used as places to store small items. For example, when disassembling electronics or equipment that has a lot of cables, placing them in stored dresser drawers will help with additional box storage. Empty drawers can be used as places to store small items.
  5. Pack as much as you can in the same size boxes. Fill boxes tightly, do not overpack or under pack. (Bulging cartons tend to tip when stacked, and half full boxes collapse). Use newspaper, bubble wrap, rags, towels, or blankets to fill empty spaces. Seal boxes with tape.
  6. Make sure you check the packing box weight limit.
  7. Place a layer of packing materials inside the bottom and top boxes containing glassware. Make sure all glass items are individually wrapped. Label all boxes containing glassware and do not place heavy items on top.
  8. Try to avoid using printed newspapers to pack your belongings as ink from newspapers may smudge and ruin your property.
  9. Any clothes which are hung in closets should be stored in hangers’ boxes. You can find wardrobe boxes with metal hanger bars for purchase at the local Walmart or Hardware Center.
  10. When storing bigger appliances like a refrigerator or freezer, should be dry and stored with its doors slightly ajar. Some items can be stored inside larger or smaller appliances. Boxes can be stacked on top of heavy appliances.
  11. When unloading bulky and heavy items check if the facility provides dollies and moving carts to make the process smoother.
  12. Leave air space around the perimeter to aid ventilation. Boxes of the same size make it easy to stack.
  13. Leave a walkway to the rear of your space for easy access to all items.
  14. Mark any easily breakable items like mirrors or paintings with ‘FRAGILE’, do not stack other items on top of them.
  15. Cover your belongings with a drop cloth to avoid any dust settling in. Mattress and furniture covers can be found at the nearest Walmart or Hardware Center.
  16. If storing in a non-climate control, place a cardboard mat, or plastic sheet on top of the floor before placing furniture. Stand sofas, and mattresses on end. Dissemble beds and tables and wrap table legs in paper. If the table won’t disassemble, place it on its top with legs pointing up. Lightweight chairs can be stacked seat to seat or placed upside down on tables. Place a dusk cover such as a bed sheet over furniture.
  17. Do not store sharp or heavy items on top of upholstered furniture to avoid damage to item.
  18. To store a mattress, make sure to prop them straight to prevent bending or lumps, remove all seat and arm upholstery and store in sealable container.
  19. When storing metal tools, they should be cleaned and wiped down with a few drops of machine oil to prevent rusting. With storing machine equipment make sure all fluids are drained. Long handled tools like rakes and shovels, should be cleaned and tied down in bundles.
  20. Empty trash cans can be utilized as a place to store tools, and any trash can not used can be stacked inside one another.
  21. Any items that are combustible, flammable, or perishable are prohibited to store at our facility.
  22. Always use a secure padlock on your unit. You can purchase padlocks at our facility for $15 dollars, and it can be placed inside your unit for when movers arrive.
